After the whopping sales of iPad, Apple Incorporation started sales of its iPad tablet computer which has enormous cellular capabilities and were soon out of stock as soon as they were put on the sale. Apple’s iPad 3G was put on the sale late Friday afternoon with its cost ranging around $626 and $499 without the cellular connectivity which began a month back.

Apple stores reached in San Francisco, New York, Boston and Houston told that they have not any further iPad 3G models left by Sunday. According to an analyst company Piper Jaffray & Co. approximately 300,000 iPad 3Gs unit were sold out over the weekend that also includes pre-orders and online sales. As number of iPad3 G amounts equal to the earlier versions, however, according to estimations iPad has sold out nearly 1 million units of iPads of all types.

Definitely, these Apple numbers would increase competition into the wireless gadgets markets. Soon after the release of iPhone 3G Amazon also made an announcement to have software update to its Kindle e-book reader so that users could access Facebook and Twitter. Both the iPad and Kindle can wirelessly download books. Some consumers appeared to be trading up from the Wi-Fi only model. EBay Inc.’s U.S. online marketplace on Sunday listed more than 1,200 Wi-Fi models for sale, including 250 that were listed as used.

Analysts are keenly watching the development at iPad sales front as how it can fare in terms of selling in longer term. Along with many of Apple’s other products the initial customers for iPad are tech savvy guys who are not the part of mainstream audience. It is forecasted that iPad sales this year would reach out be about 5 million units. And adding to the twist Apple has delayed sales of the iPad outside the U.S. until the end of May due to limited quantities.
