It is appearing that Facebook is heading towards its ultimate goal of dominating world by large. Facebook has announced that nearly 50,000 websites have been integrated into Facebook’s new social plugins just in a span of a week. The plugins are told to be central initiative taken by Facebook under its new Open Graph initiative. Facebook last week opened up its Open Graph API and social plugins during its F8 conference in San Francisco

The complex protocol and API created a more personalized web browsing experience for Facebook users this time. Social plugins in particular let users to have interaction with other websites without even logging into it. And this feature has created quite uproar with contention, confusion and reason for government scrutiny under privacy rules. Despite delving in these issues Facebook’s Open Graph that started with 75 partners now have nearly 50, 000 websites on board. And there about 300 websites are adding Facebook social plugins every hour. Social plugins appears to be first big step in Facbook’s ambitious plan to become center of the web and Facebook may succeed in that too
