Twitter is coming up with its Ad Platform on 14th April
In an another important development as to promote advertising activities on the internet, Twitter is about to launch the most desired and awaited activity in form of launching its much awaited advertising platform on Tuesday, a day before its first ever developers conference. The ad platform is being known as “Promoted Tweets” and would soon be rolling out Tuesday afternoon, starting with promoted tweets within Twitter Search results.
As news coming from AdAge and The New York Times, the platform will allow organizations to rise above the normal; initially it would start with search results but later on would enter both Twitter.com streams and third party applications like TweetDeck and Tweetie. However, there one ad would be displayed at a time. The first customers using Twitter ad platforms are Virgin America, Bravo and Starbucks. At start, advertisers will bid on keywords based on a CPM basis initially, but later on Twitter intends to launch a “resonance score” metric that can judge reach and impact individual sponsored tweets would have based on favorites, retweets and views.
