Apple disclosed new iPhone features for its next editions
Before the announcement of new iPhone to be released in the market, Apple in a program has released a long list of 100 features that are to be included into a new iPhone operating system that is to be released at the later part of the year this season. In a program Apple founder Steve Job displayed seven of the interesting features of the iPhone and one such that feature was running more than program at a time and that feature is known to be multi-tasking which let users to run and operate more than one program at a time. However, this feature already has become part of many other smartphones.
Other important feature of vital importance is mobile advertising platform as to be launched let devices to run advertisement on applications made by the third parties. iAd introduces Apple’s first mark into the viable and attractive lucrative new market and is defined as up against the Google’s search engine advertising model. Apple would allow external developer to keep as much as 60% of ad revenue from iAd. Meanwhile, iPhone OS 4.0 update will be released initially for the iPhone and iPod touch and then for the iPad as for later part this year.
During the program Apple CEO Steve Job demonstrated the multi tasking feature as displayed on the online radio station Pandora running in the background playing music while a user could either read news online or deal with email. Some other features exhibited as Apple’s headquarter involves creation of specific folders to store third party applications downloaded from iTunes, homescreen wallpapers, enhanced mail that collects multiple accounts into one “unified” inbox and providing iBooks that is already available on the iPad.
Apple’s move into mobile advertising was predicted when it procured Quattro Wireless mobile advertising network for almost $300m in January. According to Apple advertising inside is the model of advertising in future. In 2009, mobile ads represented 12% of entire ad revenue and soon it would grow to 28% by 2012.
