Using Apple iPad as an e-book reader?
A few hours before the launch of Apple iPad, Amazon made the iPad optimized version of its Kindle application available in the market. Like as iPhone version, Kindle version too is free and can provide preview of any Kindle book purchased through the Amazon account.
The first appearance of Appel iPad reader involves most of the features that were not present with generation of specialized e-book readers, especially Amazon Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook. In order to make a book reader as efficient as effective like a book reader then it should have touch screen for navigating and flipping pages, a color display for illustrations, photos and book covers and ability to download and read e-books from several different sources.
This Kindle DX has a display size similar to the iPad’s, at 9.7-inches. But iPad has many far better features than the Kindle. Along with its color screen iPad has a list of functions above and beyond its e-book reader capabilities: a robust (albeit Flash-less) Web browser; built-in iTunes audio and video playback; photo viewing; and access to the entire library of tens of thousands of iPhone apps.
•On the parameter of screen the Kindle’s e-paper display has a number of good features like agreeing with Amazon’s sales pitch that the flat matter screen is easier on the eyes than backlit displays. However, on the bright, colorful display on the iPad attracts on a first instance
•While analyzing iPad as a book reader is impressive with many a good number of features and attributes. It has a good number of iBook features, including its browsable collection of book covers, the ability to look at two two pages at once in landscape mode giving as an impression of fast forwarding of books. There is a cool page turning animation on a page but passing of time they would get older and rough.
•In comparison to 3G version of iPad on a price tag of $130 the Kindle’s free 3G service makes a day simply. Though that service won’t continue to be free when and if future kindles get more robust, iPad-like features such as Web browsing and media streaming.
•On kindle the selection of Magazines and newspapers spans over a very wider range and collection yet are limited only towards black and white only. However, iPad’s color screen is a huge benefit as making magazine and newspapers much more vibrant and colorful.
So at the end for an opinion and choice, iPad’s color screen and much better flexibikity makes it better among all the e book readers.
