YouTube re-designed for better visual impact
From today now on YouTube would look different, entirely, as it is about to roll out its new design today. Though, some elements of this redesign has already been rolled out and disclosed. Finally, it would be reopened for million of users today. On a new design modifications have been made out based upon research done on YouTube.
According to the research done on YouTube page most of the users (37%) do not go for features like comments, subscriptions, rating and videos, what they like to be on a webpage is a title, a giant video and a search box. In the redesigned pages, five star ratings have been replaced by thumbs up-or-down system, the “subscribe” button has been put on more prominent location on the top of the page and video description have been moved from the right hand side of the video to under it.
Now on access to descriptions, view counts and video stats would be far easier by enabling a hover effect on it and making entire area clickable. View count it now placed entirely by larger font as it a most critical part on the video page. The masthead also been developed to be thinner now on and is emphasized more on the search box. YouTube is, definitely is the world’s second largest search engine, and is second only to Google (Google) itself.
The more focus is now on is placed over improving advertising and branding opportunities over top content creators. Looking, overall, the individual changes on YouTube though are very small but quantitatively are very effective and notable. With these changes YouTube, definitely, would run better and faster and appear to be less cluttered for better video viewing.
