Recently, it occurred to Foursquare, which was too common with Twitter for a year so. Yesterday Foursquare too went down very badly, and for some amazing reason. As the site has now appeared on the scene it is rumored that those responsible at Foursqaure forgot to renew the domain name that was too expired on 25th March.

Therefore, GoDaddy pulled the site and put their landing page over there. However, domain registrar like Go Daddy used to give a number of several notices before they withdraw from domain and put it once again on the sale. Luckily, Foursquare noticed it and kept it back on the right place and spot. This seems to an over excitement for the company that is investing more $10 million round of funding for the company that would calculate company’s entire investment upto $80 million on paper.

So after first around of funding the first thing Foursquare did was the purchase of the new foursquare.com domain. Earlier, the service was used to be laid at playfoursqaure.com.
So it seems that company unfortunately forgot to change the e-mail notifications from whoever owned the domain originally to one of their email addresses.
