In the start of this year, Google struck a milestone deal with Global Cricket Ventures that are licensing partners to the Indian Premier League (IPL) that provided rights to Google for live streaming of cricket matches from the IPL on YouTube. This is a massive deal as this would let you tube to have a half a billion viewers from mega global sporting event.

After the Google deal, now Indiagames, one of the largest gaming companies of India has purchased the official gaming rights of the IPL tournament to deliver the games around the Indian cricket tournament. During the next 45 days of IPL, Indiagames would start series of web and mobile apps promoting games. Such first application IPL Indiagames T20 Fever is an online game which uses Facebook Connect to let users to create team consisted of players both Facebook friends and IPL professional cricketers. this feature also involves micro-transaction support for users to buy out IPL players for improving their hopes to become IPL Champion.

Second game by Indiagames is named as ‘IPL Indiagames 140 Cricket’ that is based upon concept of Cricket Manager” and is directed towards Twitter and Facebook users to create and manage teams. There is also a facebook game too. Indiagames has parterned with Facebook to develop all three of the games. Hopefully, this would help facebook to have an edge over rival social network Orkut in Indian social media market.
