Keep your facebook updates private with new facebook features
As there has recently been uproar with privacy issue related with Google buzz, it is indeed interesting to have a glimpse of privacy features of Facebook as to keep the personal updates tuned with time. If you look at the Facebook friends, then you would have group of friends from different areas, some from the work place, some family and others from other groups.
As for sharing this information among respective group of friends, and avoiding from other group you can use newly added features of the FaceBook.
Step 1: Distribute list among your Friends
For the ease of distributing information, you can click on “Account” at the immediate right top of Facebook interface and can “Edit Friends” from the drop-down menu displayed below. From there you will be carried by the application at advanced friend’s page and would be labeled with a button “Create New List” that is shown in header image above.
Now for the purpose of creating list, first of all type the names of the people into the list to narrow down your options and then click on a portrait to highlight it and add it. Once, you have everyone needed there, click “Create List” and list is ready. Likewise made list for each group of people where you wish to reach and approach.
Step 2: Allow preferred to see your list
Here you will learn how to control your post to be visited by friends for links, status updates, notes or any other information for the specific list of friends. Now on you would be able to learn share your updates to Everyone, Friends and Networks, Friends of Friends, Only Friends, or Custom.
To share an information click “Custom,” you’ll see a drop down menu that defaults to “Only Friends.” If that’s selected, only your friends will see the update, and you can type names in the bottom field to prevent specific individuals and lists from seeing the update. We could type “Work” in that field to add our Work list, and then all our friends except those in the Work list could see the update.
