As to stiff competition against rival social networks like as Facebook that has as much as 400 million users, Google has launched its social network service Buzz that can directly integrated with its e-mail service Gmail. The Buzz allows its users to post status, updates, share content and read content and comment on friend’s posts.

Buzz is primarily is focused upon Gmail users that are approximately 170 million users. The buzz has a number of good interesting features catering to mobile users in focus. But Million dollar question over here is whether Buzz is capable enough to prompt social networks to divert from Twitter and Facebook. And Yahoo is already offering one such serving in its mail where a user can access to Twitter and Flicker even inside of their Yahoo Mail Page.

The messages highlighted with a Buzz symbol are incorporated directly into a person’s Gmail inbox. Private messages would be displayed on user profile page automatically where as public updates will reach up even to Search Engines. The Buzz also has included feature of Twitter, like following people, sharing updates.

Google Buzz product manager Todd Jackson termed it as “an entirely new world in Gmail”. The Buzz is also integrated with mapping service and mobile platforms too. In Buzz status updates from phones will record position of the sender and add it with the message. Then people will be enabled to search pubic messages from their phone.
