Adobe to improve performance of Flash on Macs
Bitten by the recent criticism for Flash Player browser plug in for under performance at Mac systems the Adobe Systems has promised for the better performing Flash player in coming times. It is found that Flash Player on Windows has been faster in comparison to Mac comp uters as acknowledged by Adobe Chief Technology Officer Kevin Lynch in a follow-up comment to a blog post.
He further added that Adobe and Apple are working together in Flash 10.1 to get this problem to be sorted out as driving towards the Core Animation as to reduce CPU usage and soon Mac would be faster than Widows for image reception. For better video qualities, he further explained, “Video rendering is an area we are focusing more attention on–for example, today a 480p video on a 1.8 GHz Mac Mini in Safari uses about 34 percent of CPU on Mac versus 16 percent on Windows (running in BootCamp on same hardware). With Flash Player 10.1, we are optimizing video rendering further on the Mac and expect to reduce CPU usage by half, bringing Mac and Windows closer to parity for video.”
Adobe is also handling bug problem as they are constantly on development and research mode avoids offering a known crash bug in Flash pack.
