There is no break on news of hacking when you are on the internet and the latest victim of dreadful web activity is India’s largest infor mation technology services company, Tata Consultancy Services. The site has been restored to order once again, when hackers attacked and changed its domain name and put it on the sale.

A spokesperson from the company told, “The TCS website, www.tcs.com, was disrupted. Subsequently, it has been restored and is functioning fine. None of the servers were compromised. Initial investigation reveals a DNS (Domain Name Server) redirection at the domain name registrar’s end. Further investigations are on.”

The hackers modified the domain name to 205.178.152.154 from 216.15.200.140, re-pointing the name server (NS) records of the company’s website. The hackers had framed a whos.among.us wid
get to show up that how many people is the site at any given point. Adding to the rage of TCS hackers even provided an email id, abed_uk@hotmail.com. This indeed has raised authenticity on security alertness at country’s largest IT Company and is an eye opener for Internet policy makers of India.
