Macmillan titles once again on sale on Amazon.com

The sale of publisher MacMillan’s title is back on to Amazon.com’s virtual online store after a weeklong dispute over pricing issue. The dispute between the companies aroused when Macmillan demanded that some of its e-books should be priced over Amazon’s standard rate of $9.99, but this demand of Macmillan raged Amazon the extent of ceasing sale of all Macmillan titles.

However, after a week long duel, Amazon once again started direct buy option from yet it is not clear that Macmillan has whether provided any concession on rates or not. According to Amazon in a statement issued on Sunday it told that $14.99 is unnecessarily high for e-books still it is agreed to sale out books for Amazon. Amazon is still in discussion with Macmillan on rates of titles in future.

“I am delighted to be back in business with Amazon,” Macmillan CEO John Sargent told in an e-mail message quoted Friday in a New York Times post. As both parties have come into contact for some sort of agreement, it is still in doubt whether Amazon has indeed re-priced Macmillan e-book titles.
