Google closing down support for Microsoft IE6 on many applications
Due to security reasons, Google has planned to suspend support for Internet Explorer (IE6) for its Gmail and Calendar services. Google has also planned to decreases its features for Google Docs and Google Sites for IE6 support. Its spokes person further stated that Google even plans to stop supporting older browsers for the remaining Google Apps suite even including Gmail.
However, IE6 is not only browser that Google will stop support for. There are older browsers on company’s list including Mozolla’s Firefox 2.0, Apples’s Safari 2.0 and Google’s own Chrome 3.0. To the suggestions from Google, Microsoft spokesman Brandon LeBlanc also agreed to recommendation of removing off Internet Explorer 6. This situation has occurred due to vulnerabilities found in IE 6, which led to the cyber attack on over 20 US, companies, involving Google, and in the episode Google blamed China for those attacks.
