Bold 9700 Black Berry Smart Phone for real time communication
In the series of RIM BlackBerry phone models, it is the Bold 9700 that succeeded BlackBerry Bold. Its features, not only includes its being the first 3G BlackBerry, but also offers Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) support for Wi-Fi calls, a faster processor and an updated OS. Though, its browsers have certain complications to work upon, otherwise offers better speed and features than T-Mobile’s other blackberry models.
•Design: Design wise, it is a compact smart phone that can attract men and women, consumers and professionals at a go. It measures 4.29 inches tall x 2.36 inches wide and 0.56 inch thick and can be kept in the pocket. Its chrome edges between the keyboards add to its handset appeal. Its display screen is of 2.44 inches with 480 X 360 pixel resolution at 245 pixels per inch certainly keeps things clear and sharp. Its text is quite easy to read and its images look vibrant with crispy colors. Straight below the display is a standard BlackBerry control includes Talk and End keys, a menu shortcut and a back button. Next to it is Bold 9700’s 35 key full QWERTY keyboard with large and comfortable buttons for ideal typing of both short text messages and longer e-mails. At the left side of the screen there is a 3.5 headphone jack, a microUSB port/power connecter and a customizable shortcut key.
•Features: The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the first 3G (UMTS/HSDPA 900/1700/2100) BlackBerry for T-Mobile. It has BlackBerry OS 5.0 that brought some cheer for messaging and calendar capabilities of the BlackBerry browser. Other than 3G, the Bold 9700 has Wi-Fi and UMA (unlicensed mobile access) support that means that it can receive unlimited calls over a wireless network using calling plan minutes. Other features of the Bold 9700 includes quad-band worlds roaming, a speakerphone, voice activated dialing, smart dialing, conference calling, speed dial, visual voice mail and text and multimedia messaging. Bluetooth is also available with model for mono and stereo Bluetooth headsets, hands-free kits, serial port profile, dial-up networking, audio source, and AV remote. The Bold 9700 is equipped with GPS/A-GPS.
Its built-in media player works well and supports MP3, WMA, WMA ProPlus, AAC, AAC+, and eAAC+ files, and MPEG4, WMV, and H.264 video clips. It also has an upgraded camera that can reach upto capacity of 2 megapixels to 3.2 megapixels. It provides variable zoom capacity, auto focus, and flash and video conferencing capabilities.
