According to a survey and study conducted by American Dialect Society “google” has emerged as the most prominent word of the decade and “tweet” the word of the year. Bing declared “Twitter” the most popular word of  2009 and the Oxford dictionary named “unfriend” a word used by Facebook to remove someone from profile to be the most popular word of the year.

However ‘google’ is a lowercase word that is not referred for the Google Company, but as catch call for searching on the Internet. For being the word of the decade it Google had to compete with the word blog.  It is not the word google only appeared of internet but had also appeared even on TV shows as googling or in many other forms.
