Cisco to come up with security network with an iPhone App

In order to provide internet security enthusiasts with security solutions Cisco has launched an iPhone application named as Cisco SIO to keep Cisco Intelligence Operations in users’ hands as to provide them real time access to security information and also letting users to create personalized alerts in order to impose over security threats to secure their network. This particular application is protected by Cisco’s Security.

IntelliShield Alert Manager Service to inform, protect and enable IT staff to have quick action over alerts and threats to the network. This application can provide data on early warning intelligence, threat vulnerabilities and other like problems.

The application also provides unique IP and URL address through e-mail and Web reputation look up as supported by Cisco’s IronPort SenderBase Security Network through the application. This application has four major components, first one is Cisco SensorBase that is a threat monitoring network that can monitor and provide data from all Cisco devices and services. Its next component is Cisco IntelliShield that is a historical threat database of 40,000 vulnerabilities and 3,300 IPS signatures, 600 third party threat intelligence sources that can track 500 third party data feeds and 100 security feeds non- stop 24 hours. Its next part is Threat Operations Center that is made up of 500 security analysts from every corner of the Earth who continuously looks out for the threats 24 hours a day.   As application of iPhone is increasing day by day it is very appropriate time for Cisco to launch its security application.
