Microsoft and News Corp in Discussions to Remove Newspaper Content from Google

Rupert Murdoch’s is still blaming on Google for failure of newspaper business model and his News Corp is undergoing in talks with Microsoft for de-indexing the company’s site from Google and then to include them in bing after being paid. And this move by Murdoch can be understood from the revelation that Google is “stealing” content rather than helping people to find content.

This move by Microsoft to let the other news site de-index from Google and then have a paid inclusion in bing search has come up as a ray of hope for newspaper industry where search engines may compete with each other for their content. According to news from

The Financial Times, the Microsoft has approached to a number of other big online publishers to persuade them to remove their sites from Google’s search engine. However, News Corporation as well as Microsoft declined from giving any official comment on this issue.
