Google Chrome is coming up with its version of Extension Gallery

Submitted by admin on Tuesday, 17 November 2009No Comment

Google’s Chrome that is considered to be the fastest browser on the internet is about to launch an official gallery of browser extensions.  Now a logo for the app and extension with a link to a gallery page would appear, whenever, a new tab is pressed down. Presently that link would associate to Google.com, however, soon it would re-direct to Google.com. Speed of Chrome is no doubt is very fast but its limited extension support and ecosystem make it difficult for the browser to compete with Firefox.

And the second apt question as raised by Firefox users is would it be of the same speed when it would be weighed with same number of extensions as available with firefox. As it is expected that Chrome extension would be live by early December, meanwhile it is very awkward that a dead link would be sitting over Google product for a longer period of time. However, you can not wait for longer, for them there is an unofficial directory of Chrome extensions which can be found at ChromeExtensions.org, but install them carefully as they are not as simple as managing like firefox extensions.
