Dell acquires Perot Systems in $3.9 billion to stand tall with IBM & HP
In its quest to increase profitability Dell is increasing its enterprise IT consulting business by acquiring Perot Systems for $3.9 billion in a deal that is far better and is based upon complete cash negotiation. As for the profile of Perot Systems it is the IT consulting and integration firm founded by Ross Perot in 1988,
It is expected this change of mood of Dell in favor of consulting stand it near to IBM and HP. Initially, Dell would merge its services division into Perot Systems and combined operations would be handled by Peter Altabef who is current CEO of Perot Systems and for the smooth function of acquisition it is interesting to learn that both Dell and Perot Systems are based in Texas.
On the financial side of the deal Perot would earn $2.5 billion in annual revenues for Del at its present rate as estimated by the companies; however its income during last quarter was merely $31 million that hopeful would rise up to the level when Dell would rope the company with its existing enterprise customers
