In a recent update for international cell phone market, the news is coming up that Dell is about to release China only cell phone and the news was confirmed by  Chinese news portal 163.com that the gadget has been shipped for China. According to some resources, what dell is offering in China is an ‘Ophone’ called the mini3i.

China Mobile, the world’s largest carrier would distribute along the device across China, from the mid of this month. China Mobile plans to establish Ophone as Umbrella brand under which a number of devices from different makers can be sold out. Besides Dell, Lenovo another Chinese company Dopod is about to release Ophones in coming days. All Ophones would support TD- SCDMA (Time Division Synchronous Code Divis ion Multiple Access) that is a China only 3G standard that would make it difficult it to work outside china.
