Businesses have started thinking in favor of social media

A thought process is developing in business community about using Twitter, Facebook and Myspace for optimizing their business goals. All the leading business organizations are pondering over deeply to devise methods to exploit sudden explosion of social media. And as an initiative, Victoria business owner Luis DeLeon has embraced the social media technology to propagate and expand its business.

For his business, not only does he make a personal page on Facebook, but also he has elaborated profile for his business at Facebook and Myspace.  He has reason to support this business strategy as he explained, “These types of social media are great for business. If only there were two of me, I could do more with them, however I have made sales by posting info or just simply giving advice on these sites,”

And use of social media is also coming over as better mean to work effectively and efficiently. According to an AT&T survey done on over 2,500 people in five different countries resulted in increased work efficiency. For 63 percent respondents has helped them to achieve certain goals and for remaining ones it sparked thoughts, ideas and creativity. According to another respondent, it has become imperative for companies to adopt Social Media as a mean to influence business strategies.
