UnitedHealth started ‘telehealth’ network
UnitedHealth Group Inc. announced its deal with Cisco Systems Inc. to provide with “telehealth” network to provide with video technology to facilitate with remote doctor- patient visits. The program known as “Connected Care” according to UnitedHealth Group is unique and is innovative in its own way. The objective of the program is to facilitate health care resources into underserved rural and urban areas.
UnitedHealth Group, that has spend million of dollars into this project made announcement for unveiling of an 18-wheel Connected Care mobile clinic. “Connected Care is the house call for the 21st century and is our latest innovation providing people with greater access to quality care,” said Stephen Hemsley, UnitedHealth Group’s CEO. It is developing six Connected Care programs around United States.
