YouTube, a subsidiary of Google in itself has become a very big entity by number of hits and downloads it receives daily and the numbers, awesomely, are enormous. However, for downloading there many a number of downloader’s either as online services, browser plugins or stand alone applications are available.

Among the massive downloader for YouTube it is the MacTubes on for Mac, which is the most popular.  MacTunes many a times is referred as iTunes for YouTube as it is has the same interface like iTunes. At first appearance, this application looks like a blank interface with non-online look. The search result for the application appears on the window with small thumbnails appearing rapidly. Now you can click on the Play button on the bottom of the main widow and play windows that look very same like as YouTube window and give impression of running videos from your hard drive.

At the pane at left window you can add and remove folders, play lists, searches and feeds. Each item can be dragged and dropped for re-positioning. At Mac Tubes you can download videos containing formats as FLV, MP4 or HD.  And the preferable format is iTunes and iPod that is without any problem. Anyway, you can make better idea about the application only after using it.
