Experience the recreation of historic Apollo 11 Moon landing
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11 mission when on July 20th Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first human being to land their foot on any celestial body outside the Earth, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum with the help of efforts from the AOL, has made a project to recreate entire Apollo 11 mission from the launch to setting foot on moon in 11 stages of the mission.
This project is full featured Flash website to recreate the mission and featured with information on astronauts, mission countdown timers, shows current status of Apollo 11 spacecraft and updates on mission status through Twitter. Whereas clicking on pulsating icons would provide with image galleries, videos and more features.
And this all would happen in real time starting and corresponding to the exact time and dates of the mission. This is very easy to follow mission by installing a desktop widget for Facebook, Myspace. From Apollo you can track entire mission on three accounts comprising Houston Mission Control, the Eagle Lunar Module and the Apollo 11 spacecraft. This definitely is a great way to pay tribute to the historic landmark in human history.
