Qik released push API for mobile to mobile video streaming

In a recent development activity, Mobile video streaming company Qik launched its new Push API in private beta, presents a firehose of new Qik content which lets developers to instantly update their applications with Qik videos as soon as they come in. Now depending upon the application users would be allowed to mention Qik users, tags or locations for what they would get update for video as soon as criteria would go live.

Apart from the new API, Qik would also let mobile phones to stream live video straight from the web. Though this facility would not available on iPhone is available for Nokia and Windows Mobile 6.5 smart phones.  This is great to view videos as soon as notification is received.
