Some useful apps to search people on Twitter

Twitter, here is all about followers and following and you can do exceptional conversation on it. It is great fun for all sorts of activities including sharing thoughts, asking questions, getting updates, music, brands and everything possible on the Earth. However, for making any sort of conversation possible on Twitter it is very necessary to have a number of followers and for that you need to search people to add on your account. Here some helpful tools are discussed to search people on Twitter.

Twitter People Search: Service provided by Twitter itself requires “real names” to be entered into the bio fields but makes it difficult to search when there are persons with a common name. And it also cumbersome in confirming the found people to be same you are looking for. Anyway is a nice place to start your search on Twitter.

Tweepz: This app allows searches on the basis of specific parts of Twitter profiles like name, bio, and location. Can also filter results for follower/following numbers, location, and other extracted terms on the layout of the search results.

TweepSearch: This application let to search by Twitter name or location. For a specific username it can provide entire list of friends and followers. According to their   “indexing” information it is crawling about 600,000 less Twitter users.

TwitDir – This is another search engine with same features like as Tweep Search with options like “top” list for most searched profile.

Twellow: This is a very helpful site to search out for like minded people on Twitter with nearly 6 million Twitter users indexed in its directory into huge and varied categories.

WeFollow: Developed by founder Kevin Rose, it is directory to organize twitter users by hashtags. It is a user generated database where anyone can add himself by tweeting @wefollow with three #hashtags that tells about him.

Just Tweet It: Again a user generated directory, however, not par with Wefollow or Twellow.

Twubble: This recommendation based application let people to follow by spidering the people you’re already following and recommending users that they’re following creating a chain process.

Twitterel: It by the help of keywords helps you to search for the people you are interested in and informs you by email, direct message, or @reply with suggestion for appropriate people meeting your criteria.

Who Should i Follow?: Interestingly, after entering your username into it it would search people similar to you whom you are already following.   Its results can be filtered by   popularity and location of a profile.
