Submitted by admin on Friday, 3 July 2009No Comment

Twitter’s trending topics which are into craze for latest internet searches are also victim of constant spamming by hackers and spammers to make a disguised use out of it. Keeping along the spam trends this time a vulgar hastag has appeared into the trending topics that should not to be there and even not leads to any Twitter conversations but somehow existed over there on Twitter trending topics.

However with an update Commenter Mark Nagurski termed it as legitimate trending topic and explains “British actress Mollie Sugden died yesterday. She played Mrs Slocombe in UK comedy Are You Being Served and ‘Mrs Slocombe’s Pussy’ was a running joke. This is a tribute from fans.” As twitter is not showing any result for it, its anti-spam filters have been activated.  Despite being provided with protection this time spammer has reached to trending topic with another method. Though the message would be removed but Twitter needs to develop some better way to prevent spam. Not only spamming but Twitter needs to detect system to stop labeling of legitimate topics as s spam.
