Digitalsmiths, the video distribution and analysis platform which is known for offering its services to popular sites like TheWB.com, TMZ, and more has launched its new product VideoSense 2.0. Among a number of features appealing to content owners, the most innovative and venturesome is revamped video search that can also be described as “Google for Video”  It is enabled with technology to surpass all other video searches as equipped for search for any actor, scene, or piece of dialog to search from Digitalsmiths library. Digitalsmiths has gone all lengths and years to develop technology for speech recognition and visually match actors’ faces and environmental elements.

Though the search was earlier available on a limited scale as a user had to fine tune their queries employing a number of drop-down menus and others in cumbersome exercises, however new search with Google like bar has been modified for the purpose of simplicity. Despite this much progress on the video search, further modification is kept upheld for universal search due to objection raised by content owners and want this search feature to be constrained for their sites.  The new product has also some other innovative features like video ingestion, storage, and processing, and Publisher for a content manager.
