Google Adwords & Affiliate Marketing
With the success of Google ad networks and affiliate marketing (success in some respect), people are jumping into the blogging world. They start a new blog and rehash and retweet already available content on their blog. They do this to keep their blog running and to monetize it. They signup with various affiliate marketing companies like ClickbankCommission Junction, Woothemes, Web hosting, etc & above all with the most popular Google Ad network which I am sure you have seen on more than 90% of blogs.

Money Vs Content
On observing blog content many a times it appear that people are just running after money. I don’t say it is bad to earn money but is should not an imitation of others and appears to be a futile exercise. If you don’t put good content on your blog people will not come back to your blog and you will witness a higher bounce rate. Actually, people pick a product and join affiliate programs and then write a review with affiliate links. I know hell lot of big blogs which are related to technology or health and do this aggressively just to earn money. This way I bet that over a period of time they will loose their readers or will hardly get any good readers. Infact people are flushing infolinks or text-link-ads.com (in content links), eCPM ads like casalemedia or tribal fusion. Using these types of ad programs is definitely a sign of loss of good readers or visitor to your blog.

Lack of Creativity & Competition
New bloggers keep on asking me where to find good fodder for our websites, and then I would suggest them to just come up with good and unique ideas and just write them. Though I tell these lazy bloggers a few options, but I think, if you are really talking about good content than you should read Readwriteweb, Lifehacker, Mashable, etc and should write interested news yourself with uniqueness that is a primary requirement of successful blog post, then after post them on your blog.

What You Can Do?
If you want to write on a topic that is already mentioned somewhere else, write it from different angle that no other publisher has thought of. Don’t write too complex stuff; write very common day-to-day related topics which you think people have never thought of that it could also be like that, for e.g., “5 tips to create a social mashup site” (lol ask me how to create it ;) ).

Concentrate on the topic that you are writing about don’t talk about US in the 1st sentence & Russia in the next, keep yourself concentrated.

Short & concise title, approximately 5-7 words should be used. I mean title should be catchy enough. Get some White Hat SEO done on your blog which will help you to good rankings in the search pages of different search engines like GOOGLE, YAHOO, MSN. If you rank higher you will get more visitors to your blog.

Conclusion
Miracles don’t happen, Internet is expanding day by day and similarly numbers of blogs are also increasing. Money just doesn’t start flowing in a few days, you have to keep patience and concentrate on the content, and do I still need to tell you that “The Content is The King”. Ask any successful blogger and he will tell you how frustrating were those days when he did not earn a recommendable amount from his blog for the first one whole year. So keep this in mind and the best of luck for your blog.
