Ad-Aware Anniversary edition features and review
Introduction:
The Ad-Aware Anniversary edition concentrates on basic consumer security needs due to behavior based threat probing and integrated real time monitoring. We have delved in to the problem that seriously requires concern without any extra edition of enhancement features that may tax your system performance while scanning. It is far faster, efficient and less burdensome on the system configuration.
Features:
Many modifications have been employed in the AD-Aware Anniversary Edition such as, Behavior-based detection, Ad-Watch Live! Interspersed real-time protection; Customizable Profile Scans and completely unified with Windows Security Center.
Ad-Aware’s high reputation can be seen from the fact that it was the first application software created for removal of adware’s and malwares. It is competently standing up to the user’s expectations but it still needs further perfection.
No doubt, this version is a complete breakthrough over the problems incurred by the previous versions. When the system is booted it gets loaded in much less time, Scans are more rapid than that of earlier editions, and also it scans the entire system in less than 10 minutes under Quick Scan mode. But the user may face some problems, as it does not easily scans through the uninstaller packages of other programs. This software has an upper edge over other integrated Anti-viruses and Anti-malwares in field of performance and speed as the antivirus engine is provided only in the paid version of Ad-Aware.
Review:
This Free version of Ad-Aware does not contain certain important features namely heuristics and real time registry protection. Basic features like scheduler network drive scanner are not available in this free copy. Modifications has been done in Ad-Watch Live thus making it run problem free in the background , however a noticeable chance will be visible to the long time users.
It has become the most easy to use Adware owing to Interface Refinements. There is an action button at the bottom of the plane which might give an uncanny feeling to the old users, but forced continuity between windows is a positive addition. The settings button assists user while navigating more information.
All in all Ad-Aware will continue sly thrive in optimizing improvements and will diversify its capabilities form earlier versions of only Malware removal. But the Free version is unarguably a crippled form of the paid one.
