Edge lying between MBAs and Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs and an MBA both are the two different sides of the same coin as they both belongs to the same category of business. An entrepreneur is a person who on sheer determination and a dream realizes his goal and make niche place among business community. On the other side an MBA is a person who is educated to run a business sometimes with traits of entrepreneurship. However, an entrepreneur as well as an MBA both is aspired to become CEO of a company or touch heights in the world business. Apart from common similarity of ambition there are many differences lies between both. We will discuss them in sequence during the course of this article.

Birth: Entrepreneurs are born and an MBA is taught this is the foremost difference that lies between them. An MBA may have basic trait of taking risk but it can not be as much as higher as prevailing with a born entrepreneur. Risk taking character is inherent and can not be taught.

Knowing the nuances of business: An MBA uses his knowledge and learning to operate and grow a business on contrary an entrepreneur grow business from ground and excel in raising a company, however, knowledge gained at college about finance, marketing and strategy has its own additional role to business growth.

Non-conformist: An entrepreneur happens to be non-conformists as he tries go against the set standards and feel pride doing so whereas an MBA choose it as most acceptable method of achieving success and keeps oneself in higher spirit.

Adaptability: An MBA is trained in developing and implanting a successful business plan, whereas an entrepreneur focus more on adaptability of environment to get his dream realized and flow them in right direction.

Fear of Failure: No one likes to be a failure and an entrepreneur learns from his failure and keeps moving forwards whereas an MBA has to attain success as taught at school. Failing again and again for an MBA means getting away from program

Security: For an MBA, it is security of job to achieve success in the business world, on the other side an entrepreneur moves towards his goal without any security net risking his time, energy and saving for a goal that may or may not materialize.

Faith in their dreams: Entrepreneurs are die-hard guys to follow their dreams especially in adverse circumstances; however MBAs are more down to earth guys and looks upon the side of completing their degree and secure a job.

Desire to learn: An MBA is well trained in traits of business functioning whereas an entrepreneur learn things by its own without any professional training

Creation: An entrepreneur creates future from his vision based on experience whereas an MBA develops world based on insight inculcated from learning.
