Recently, in absence of Steve Job during WWDC keynotes address, Apple launched iPhone 3G S, next smart phone in series of its iPhones. iPhone 3GS, the successor of iPhone 3G is available in the United States from June 19th.

Apple has tried to introduce certain new features into iPhone 3GS to keep it par with Palm Pre. The current model of iPhone as according to the claims made by Apple is 2 times faster than earlier version. Though apple has not provided with details for processor and RAM included, however, most of the experts feels that both must have been doubled.  And the phone could have modified chip to work faster on 3G networks that AT&T would soon roll out.

Apart from speed, another major improvement made into the iPhone is auto-focus 3 megapixel camera. The newer version of iPhone is enabled to shoot video, a feature that was absent in earlier versions of iPhones. Among the new features, voice control is quite noticeable as you can even control playback on the iPhone with your voice. Battery life of this edition of iPhone has improved to a greater extent. According to Apple, now on iPhone 3G S would have three hours of web surfing. It would be available in two sizes with two colors each, either White or Black. The 16 GB version is priced for $199 and higher end 32 GB for $299. Hopefully, iPhone 3G S would once again bring back opinion in favor of iPhone from Palm pre for being faster.
