As reported by Irish newspaper, The Examiner, Face book has reversed its decision of removing 45 year old British woman’s picture under her profile as for showing mastectomy scars on her Facebook profile in order to teach other women about the disease. Facebook took the action of removing picture under site’s policy of removing “sexual content”.

In order to protest against the decision, a group called “GET SHARON BACK ON FACEBOOK FOR BREAST CANCER” was formed. However, later on FaceBook apologized for the mistake termed it as mistake by operations team as happened while removing offensive content. Facebook said, “We apologise for the mistake and encourage Sharon to upload these photos again if she so chooses”

This refresh memory, when in 2008 Facebook banned breast-feeding pictures showing the nipple or areola, hopefully, Facebook may also revert back that decision too.
