Terminology as used in Google Wave
Google wave that already has created waves around Internet fraternity, has its own certain terminology and procedures that it works upon. Below is the described list of most common terms used in upcoming Google Wave.
WAVE: In Google Wave, wave is refereed to threaded conversion occurring between persons involving one or either group of persons or wave robots. It’s like complete entire instant messaging (IM) history any of the chat messengers.
WAVELET: Wavelet is defined as sub category of a threaded conversation or Wave. It can be defined as small part of very large conversation and are separated from a large wave.
BLIP: Blip is a smaller conversation even than Wavelet that is like a single line of an instant message. Two Blips can be integrated with each other and in combined form are called children.

DOCUMENT: All the characters, words and files contained within blip are called documents.
EXTENSION: These are different sort of application which can work within wave. These applications within wave are divided into two sub categories: Gadgets and Robots.
GADGETS: These are applications a user can interact with primarily made on Google’s OpenSocial platform. They can be compared with iGoogle gadgets or Facebook applications.
ROBOTS: These are automated applications within a wave that can interact with other users as well as waves. They are quite convenient in providing information from outside sources like twitter, etc or even action on the basis of content provided within waves.
EMBEDED WAVE: This is a method of providing Google Wave and conversation contained in it to be on a website.
