Google Wave, a new communication platform from Google

There very big news is coming from the Google side on Technology arena, as it is coming with its new all in one state-of-the art communication platform Google Wave may be at end of this year. Google Wave is a real-time communication platform which combines features of e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, web chat, social networking and project management to form one useful browser communication client. It is unique in a way that you can bring up a group of friends or business partners on it together to discuss issues or share files.

It has many a good number of unique features, following are some of it’s distinguish characteristics.

  • Real-time: It provides with options, like who is typing with and what it is typing.
  • Mixed up: It can be embedded with any blog or website.
  • Applications and Extensions: Like Facebook and iGoogle gadget, it is provided with in built features to develop applications within waves.
  • Features of a Wiki: Wave is provided with features of editing information like as wikis with provisions of making correction, adding information and commentary.
  • Open Source: The code for wiki is open source activity wide open for further innovation and development.
  • Drag and Drop option for file sharing:  Most amazing feature as you don’t need to attach file for the purpose of sharing, however, Drag and Drop would going to workout all for you.

This project is developed and nurtured by a former Google Maps team based outside Sydney, Australia. Its core team has two brothers, Jens and Lars Rasmussen and lead project manager Stephaine Hannon.
