Apple is coming with background app solutions for Iphone

Submitted by admin on Saturday, 16 May 2009No Comment

iPhone as a smart phone has a huge weakness as it cannot run applications in the background therefore hampers performance of many apps like instant messaging site, music streaming and GPS based services. However, this problem is expected to be sorted out to an extent very soon with the help of Apple’s Push Notification system that comes with the iPhone 3.0 software.

According to media news, Apple is dead serious about doing something for allowing background applications to work on iPhone.  There are many issues while allowing the third party background applications to work with the iPhone, the first and the foremost is security concern about third parties constantly pulling in  and out data from the device. Apple may allow separate approval system for third party applications.

The next issue that is needed to be entertained with this update on iPhone is power and speed. As there is already problem with battery of the iPhone and injunction of the additional apps could worse performance of the Device. Background Apps are also great hurdle for the processor of the device. Resources on the phone are already under power constraints and adding more devices could further deteriorate performance of an iPhone.

Apple can give solution to this problem either by limiting third party apps or increasing RAM (Random Access Memory) of iPhone.  Better idea about the iPhone and application can only be ascertained after iPhone comes out with update.
