SAP application now available on BlackBerry
In a new development that is being termed as very exciting for Black Berry users, they would able to use Alloy, the application jointly programmed by SAP and IBM to allow Black Berry users to access information from SAP’s Business Suite applications through IBM’s Lotus Notes collaboration software.
As Alloy is under final stage of exhibition by IBM at technology preview on the BlackBerry at Wireless Enterprise Symposium Conference in Orlando, USA for final comments soon be available for common users. Announced in January, Alloy was codenamed “Atlantic” as adoption of SAP software still remaining in the Lotus environment. A user can perform tasks like reading reports, approving vacation requests and approving steps in a hiring process.
SAP has same type of agreement with Microsoft and Duetapplication for using office through MS office. It is expected that other mobile platform would soon follow BlackBerry.
