Now it is time for the conventional print media industry, newspapers and magazine to get technology savvy and online to get hold on losing subscribed readers. It is expected that portable reading devices with big screen would be in the market for common users by the end of this year.
Amazon Kindle
These devices which are now through testing phase are with screens as the size of standard sheet of paper would able to show most of the editorial and advertising content of the traditional periodicals as in same format as they appear in print form in hard copy.  A reader would have to pay to read that content which is not possible to do with on the Web. Companies which are coming up with these short of devices are   News Corporation, magazine publisher Hearts and Plastic Logic.

However, it is Amazon, which is coming up with Kindle, such first electronic reading device by this week showing large version of its Kindle wireless device specifically tailored for displaying newspapers, magazines and textbooks. These devices from Amazon and other new papers are irresistible proposition to newspaper and magazine industries. If successful and accepted by the readers it would allow publishers to save millions of dollars on the cost of printing and distributing their publications.

These devices seems like providing opportunity to News Papers publishers to reshape their strategy as they make a big mistake by allowing readers to read online versions which developed into loss of subscriptions for print media. They can now on choose these mobile reading devices as to turn down situation in their favor by going back to original business model, selling subscriptions and supporting their articles with ads.

Initially, these devices would have some short comings like screen without any color or video and update of images at slower rate than traditional computer screen. There are many other issues related to these devices and would solve as far as they would make presence in the market.
